Pike Creek Christian School has a vibrant and active music department! The Music Department is dedicated specifically to the musical growth of its students and to the Christian service we offer to the surrounding community. We recognize music as a gift from God given as a means to glorify Him, and we want to prepare our students to do that with excellence!

Many exciting programs (choral & instrumental) are available to students of all ages. PCCS Music Educators are members of the National Association for Music Education (MENC) and the American Choral Director’s Association (ACDA).

At the elementary level, PCCS’s music program focuses on development of musical awareness (pitch, rhythm, cultural connections). Every lesson focuses on support of the nine National Standards for Music Education as published by MENC: The National Association for Music Education.

Every Preschool student receives a year of Suzuki violin instruction included in the music curriculum. Violins are even supplied by the school! Parents are encouraged to attend these lessons, if possible.

At the middle school level, music courses build on a strong elementary foundation and include Music Theory, Sightsinging, Rhythm Workshop, and Music History.

PCCS Music Club students experience professional competitions and community events every year. A one-time Music Club fee of $60/year allows students to participate in ensembles and helps to cover competition fees, music costs and event transportation.
